In 1860, George lived with his parents, George W., Sr. and Sophia, in the 7th Ward. He was a bookkeeper. His father was born in Prussia, his mother in Pa. The 1867 directory lists Niemann George W., clothing, 611 S 10^th. In 1880, they lived at 3405 Baring St.
