            In 1880, they lived at 40 N. 40th St.

            In 1860, Joseph Dent was orphaned and living with the Lloyds, his aunt and uncle.  Joseph was only 10 years old, but was listed in the census with real estate valued at $10,000. His father had been a gold beater.  He married Mary Ella Butler about 1871.  He died suddenly in 1879 leaving Mary with three children.  In 1880, Mary and the children were living with her family in the house she grew up in, 202 N. 35th St.
