These
houses were built by John Shedwick. He and his sons built many houses in
Powelton. At the time these were built,
they lived at 3408 Race St.
The Shedwick Development Houses were placed on the National
Register of Historic Places in 1982.
Their importance is described at the University City Historical Society
website.
