The History of the Building
The
northern edge of this property was part of the northern boundary of the
Bingham-Baring estate.
“This
building was probably built in three stages. 3405 is a circa 1870 three-story
Italianate house stuccoed circa 1905 Colonial Revival
porch. 3403 is a circa 1880 three-and-one-half story brick house; gabled front
with stick style detail; Circa 1905 Colonial Revival porch, later partially
enclosed. The middle bay between buildings is also approximately circa 1880. It
is a two-and-one-half story brick projecting bay with slate shingled mansard.”
