and 1860 censuses list his occupation as “saddler.” The 1861 directory lists him as selling
“saddles, harness, &c.” at 1026 Market St.

1887directory lists Frederick Willits as a clerk living at 743 S. 22nd
St. He was the son of Rev. A.A. Willits,
a clergyman, orator, lecturer and author, who was known as the “Apostle of
Sunshine” because of his optimistic view of life.
