The History of the Building

 

3616-18: “Circa 1870, three-story Italianate double, stuccoed. Shallow-gabled roof over 3616; 3618 has a flat roof. Double bracketed cornice; first-floor projecting bays….  3618 has circa 1920 enclosed tan brick colonial porch.”

            In 1900, Aurlia Boyd lived at 11 Douglas St.  She had had 6 children, 2 were surviving in 1900.  Her daughter Betty was living with her.

 

1889 Directory: Henry C. League, h 3616 Hamilton, & at Island Navy Yard, ft S Broad.

            The 1887 directory lists him living at 827 N. 21st St.

 

1891 Directory: Henry C. League, h 3616 Hamilton, & at Island Navy Yard, ft S Broad.

            The 1895 directory lists him at 3702 Hamilton St. along with Harry M. League.
